I read so many “girly” books that I figured it was time to highlight one that an appeal to both boys and girls.

Mike Lupica is known for writing sports fiction for teens. Well, okay maybe he’s also known because he’s a sports columnist too, but in my world he’s a middle grades author. The fact that Lupica usually writes sports fiction is important because Hero is about superheros, not sports!
